So here's a transparent breakdown of what wedding photography actually costs in Singapore in 2026, and what you should expect at each price point.

The Short Answer

For most couples in Singapore, wedding photography spend falls between $1,500 and $4,000, depending on the type of coverage, number of photographers, hours, and deliverables. Here's how it typically breaks down by category:

Solemnisation Photography
Solemnisations are usually 1–3 hours. Most photographers charge between $600 and $1,500 for this. If it's a simple home or ROM solemnisation, expect the lower end. If it's at a hotel with a lunch or dinner banquet immediately after, expect more.

Actual Day Wedding Photography
This is the big one. A full day covering the morning preparation, gate crashing, tea ceremony, solemnisation, couple portraits, and the dinner banquet. Most reputable photographers in Singapore charge $2,000 to $4,000 for full-day actual day coverage (typically 10–12 hours). You get what you pay for here. Cheaper options exist, but you're trading experience, editing quality, and reliability.

Pre-Wedding Photography
Pre-wedding shoots (also called engagement shoots) typically run 2–4 hours and cost between $600 and $1,500 in Singapore. Destination pre-wedding shoots to places like Bali, Japan, or Europe will add travel and accommodation costs and longer duration since you are travelling to a new country.

Maternity & Family Photography
These are usually shorter sessions (1–2 hours) and range from $400 to $900.

What Affects the Price?

Experience and portfolio quality — photographers with 5+ years of experience and a strong, consistent portfolio command higher rates, and rightly so. Your photos last forever. This is not the place to save $300.

Number of photographers — some photographers work solo, others bring a second shooter to cover different angles simultaneously. Two photographers = more complete coverage, especially useful for large weddings.

Editing and delivery — find out how many edited photos you'll receive and in what timeframe. Some photographers deliver 300 photos, others deliver 800. Turnaround times range from 2 weeks to 3 months. Clarify this upfront.

Inclusions — does the package include a pre-wedding consultation? An online gallery? A USB drive? A photo album? These add up, so compare what's actually included, not just the headline price.

What to Avoid

Avoid booking purely on price. A photographer who charges $800 for a full actual day is either very new or cutting corners somewhere, on editing time, backup equipment, or experience in tough lighting situations. Your wedding day cannot be re-shot.

Also avoid photographers who can't show you a full wedding gallery (not just highlights). Highlights are always polished. A full gallery shows you how they handle boring moments, transition shots, and difficult lighting.
